You’re donation will go towards general ALABCA expenses and / or the programs they run, unless you specifically choose a program below for where you want your donation to go towards. Type in the program you want to sponsor should that be the case. *

Game of the Week Fund. Money is needed to pay JOCKJIVE their livestream fee, as well as to transport the stage, travel cost, etc.
Miracle League Sponsorship – The goal each year of the ALABCA is to sponsor a team and/or outfield sign in all the 13 Miracle Leagues located throughout Alabama. The participants of these leagues are mentally and/or physically handicapped children and adults. The “First Pitch” Dinner held each January helps the ALABCA achieve this goal.
Darrell Blevins Scholarship Fund - In honor of former ALABCA Board Member / Coastal Alabama-East Community College Head Baseball Coach, who passed away on August 30, 2021, from pneumonia complications due to covid.
General Scholarship Fund - Five $1,500 scholarships are awarded each year, One $2,000 one also. Two of the six scholarships are guaranteed to go to minority student-athletes.
Minority High School Baseball Tournament: March 17 - 19, 2022 the ALABCA will host its First Annual Minority High School Baseball Tournament at Riverwalk Stadium in downtown Montgomery. The 4 minority high school baseball teams will have Civil Rights tours on the morning of March 17, then listen to Andre Dawson, MLB Hall of Famer, address them at the tournament luncheon. The players will go through a pro style baseball workout the afternoon of March 17, then play each other in a round robin tournament March 18 - 19.
Batey Baseball - Bibles and Baseball Gear - The ALABCA Executive Director will personally take these items to the Sugar Cane Fields of the Dominican Republic every year or two when he goes there to do clinics and faith work. The Batey’s are where the sugar cane field worker’s and their families live. Other items taken down – new baby items, new or like new children and adult clothes & shoes, medical gloves, mask, etc…. You may contact Barry Dean at (334)676-0434 to donate these items for his future trips.
Community College Sophomore Workouts – Each fall the ALABCA works out approximately 240 Community College Sophomores rom the 18 C.C.’s located throughout the state. Event Cost: Feed the players and 4-year college coaches and pro scouts, event insurance, roster packets, event advertisement postage.
January Coaches Convention – 400 – 450 high school and college baseball coaches attend this two-day educational event, usually held at a Birmingham Hotel. Event cost: Speaker cost (stipend, travel & lodging, speaker packets), plaques awarded to honorees, hospitality suite food and drinks, etc….)
Youth League Volunteer Coaches Clinics – Free Youth League Coaches clinics offered throughout Alabama each year.
Unsigned High School Senior Showcases - 2 workouts – late January and mid-May, held in front of community college & four-year college coaches for scholarship opportunities.
Underclassmen Regional Workouts & Varsity and JV All-Star Events – 500 high school underclassmen have the opportunity of a lifetime to make an All-Star Event Team in May and participate in the June All-Star Event in front of on average 35 – 40 college baseball coaches and 4/5 professional scouts.
General Expenses – Your donation will be used where it’s needed most.
