Barry Dean’s Miracle League Tour – Spring 2018

Barry Dean spent the day with the Dothan Miracle League on their March 26, 2011 opening day. He was asked to be a part of the opening ceremony, as he told the crowd the ALABCA is urging the High School and College Baseball Coaches around the state to volunteer their time and efforts to partner with their local ML, if they aren’t already. Legendary Wallace-Dothan Community College Coach Sammy Frichter, who’s son Micheal participates in the ML, invited Coach Dean down. Coach Dean stayed for all 7 one-inning games and welcomed every player when they reached first base kiwigambling.co.nz. He quoted, “I received much more today than I gave.” He went on to say, “The game of baseball is a very humbling game to play and coach, however on this day I have never been as humbled to be a very small part of such a special event. I’m embarrassed to say this is my first experience with the ML and it’s been around Alabama for several years. I can promise you it will not be my last day to participate.”
