2022 Fall Showcase / Underclassmen Regional Workouts for 2023 – 2027 High School PlayersFall Showcase
Sunday, November 6 – Mountain Brook High School (Players must pre-register by Nov. 3, 8:00 p.m. CST)
Why should 2023 – 2027 high school players attend an ALABCA Fall Showcase?
1) To be seen by College Coaches for Scholarship opportunities.
2) They’ll receive their arm strength and hitting analytics numbers via Stalker Radar Gun and Rapsodo.
They’ll be timed in the 60 via radar timer.
* 2024 & 2025 High School Players may be selected for the June 12 – 14, 2023 Varsity All-Star Event, held at Troy University.
* 2026 & 2027 High School Players may be selected for the June 26 – 28, 2023 JV All-Star Event, held at Troy University.
2024 High School Players may apply for a $1,500 ALABCA Scholarship! They’ll apply in the Fall of 2023.
Their scholarship will be used during their freshman year of college.
Showcase / Underclassmen Regional Workout – General Information
Who may attend the Showcase / Underclassmen Regional Workout?
2023 – 2027 High School Baseball Players who play in Alabama only. AHSAA, AISA and Home Schooled Players may attend.
There is a 100 Player max at workout/showcase, Players must pre-register on-online. No walk ups. If the limit is reached before the
cut-off date per event, pre-registration will be closed for the workout.
Showcase / Workout Fee: (4% online/admin fee added to each fee)
PO (Pitcher Only): $125
P/DH (Pitcher may take on-field batting practice, but NOT workout defensively): $175
Position Player: $175
Check-In Time:
Pitchers & Catchers 9:00 – 9:20 a.m. CST.
Positon Players: 10:00 – 10:20 a.m. CST
Workout Itinerary:
Pitchers start throwing live in the pen at 10:00 a.m. CST.
Pitchers throw 12 pitchers in the bull pen, then may leave.
Catchers run the 60 while the pitchers are throwing to get loose.
Catchers throw 4 to 2B before on-field batting practice (since they’ve catching bull pens and are loose).
On-Field Batting Practice – Players take 10 cuts off a Hack Attack, Jr.
Colleges Coaches want to see players hitting off hack attacks.
P/DH’s will hit first, then may leave.
Defensive Work:
OF’s – Throw 4 from deep RF either to 3B or Home (not both).
Infielders – Throw 5 from their position.
