The Alabama Community College Conference held their Fall Sophomore Workouts at AUM September 16 (9 Southern C.C.’s) & Lawson State C.C. September 17 (9 Northern C.C.’s). All sophomore’s were invited per team. The total players participating at each workout was approximately 110 – 115. The Pitchers threw 10 pitches in the bull pen, while the Position Players ran the 60, threw from their position and took on-field batting practice. Approximately 30 4-year colleges/universities and 7 professional scouts attended both workouts. The workouts were free for the players participating and the coaches and scouts attending, due the ALABCA sponsoring the events. The ALABCA fed the players and coaches & scouts, printed the player info packets & advertised the event to 200 colleges in the southeastern states.
